Bramshaw V Purbrook With Bramshaw wanting to finish the season on a high it helped by Tarty winning the toss again and we went into the field. We had a good start with Joe coombs and J-mak a Waka bowling tightly, with so much pressure Bramshaw picked up wickets easily with Joe taking 2 early on. Purbrook were 60 runs for 4 wickets and then the collapse began with Lawrence Reeve bowling well and spinners barnold and Beard (Matt Reeve) finding turn and bounce. Purbrook were in trouble and were 148 for 8 but their partneship began with a Purbrook batsman hitting a good 98 and then finally being caught after are poor display of catching. Then Joe Coombs and Jamie came back on at the end and cleaned up the tail with Joe picking up 3 wickets at last. Purbrook finished on 238 all out. With the wicket getting better Bramshaw went into bat and once again got off to a quick start with Tarty hitting a 6 second ball of the innings!! and Tom hitting some nice drives which got us to 40 for no loss. Then the collapse began with Tom getting out cheaply and then Zane and Lawrence straight away but Johnny Murray stepped up and with the help of some big hitting by Tarty Bramshaw were cruising. With 140 for 3 we were comfortable and Tarty getting another 100 of the season his best 100 yet and Johnny Murray getting his first league 50 battled well and ticked over the score board. But Johnny got out and then collapse began again with George, Barnold, Matt Alford getting out easily and Jamie Martin reverse sweeping the ball and hitting it on to the stumps and using his fists. With 9 runs off 2 overs the game was tight with Purbrook only needing one wicket. Joe got a streaky edge to get off strike and Beard (Matt Reeve) waited for the right ball and hit a huge straight six. With 1 needed off the last over pressure was on and casual Reeve done it again and hit another huge six and Bramshaw went crazy !!!
