Bones vs Evergreen 25th July 2010 The biggest match of the season was finally here and the two veterans Bones and Tony went head to head in a 30 over match. Bones' team batted first and lost some early wickets with some good bowling by Charlie Plumbley and Sam but the pick of the bowlers was John Reeve taking 2 wickets with his twirling grendades that turned and bounced and only going for 25 of his 3 overs. However postman pat (D.Agha ) ripped the bowlers apart scoring a quick 49, avoiding the jug. Tim Rogers hitting a quick 59 and Ben Arnold smashing the Sheep (2 overs for 50) out the park. The Bones 11 finished up on 242. With a quick cuppa and some fine cake the Evergreens went out to bat with John Reeve and Charlie opening the batting. They got the team off the mark with charlie hitting some impressive fours. With Charlie gone the Reeve partneship began with Lawrence hitting it and John nurdling it about and eventually getting out on 45. The Evergreens had a good start with Lawrence carrying on his good form and retiring on 50 and the sheep putting away J-Mac and Blob reaching a quick 35. With dangerman tarty getting bowled by Gosh, The Bones were in with a shout but ooooo ahhhh Chris Spryer took the Evergreen Xl home reaching the target of 242 with 3 overs to spare .
