WALL SMASHES CLUB RECORD

Jon Wall smashed a record 222 for the second team and had a record breaking partnership with Ian Mcgill who scored his first ever hundred at Bramshaw. The second team were the only winners on a saturday where both the first team and third teams failed to come to terms with difficult wickets. The Border League team won their first game of the season with a comprehensive win over Redlynch and Hale. Jamie Terris starred with the bat and the opening bowlers Jamie Martin & Michael Kingston took 8 wickets between them. Jimmy Manning took 3 catches.

Club XI give Swan Green a Pasting

Mike West scores the first century of the Bramshaw season. Jamie Martin and Lawrence Reeve then left Swan Green in trouble with an excellent opening spell of bowling. After a Swan resurgence Stuart Stickland and George Gray finish off the game for the first win of the season. The day before Bramshaw were asked to field first and after a lively start by their batsmen, Calmore were restricted to 202 all out. Pete Hall produced the best figures of the day. In reply Bramshaw reached 199 for 7. Needing 11 off the last 3 balls Tom Arnold hit a 6 followed by a single and Jamie Terris, who top scored with 40, was unlucky not to hit the last ball for the required boundary.
