Manning sinks swannies!
Jimmy Manning put in a superb all round display to hand local rivals swan green a pasting on there home turf.
After losing the toss bramshaw were put in the field and with jimmy and ginger opening the bowling runs were hard to come by and apart from former bramshaw player mike west who hit some crisp shots.Wickets began to fall and a good spell of bowling from young debutant Gary Blake followed by Tim Rogers having west caught and with the innings falling away Jimmy returned to add to his 2 earlier wickets 'including timmy lines' with a quality hat-trick to end up with a 5 wicket haul for the second game in a row!
A total of 137 was never going to be enough but swan were given a ray of hope with the dismissal of jammo lbw 'of the bottom edge' for a first ball duck, but it was short lived as tarty and jimmy bludgeoned there way to the target with jimmy putting many a six in the road 'significantly off the bowling of west' to end up on 83 n/o and with tarty finishing on 47 n/o the target was reached in quick time.
A possible league decider against OT's next week could be on the cards so the big games keep coming!!!
