The 1st's travelled to eastleigh and otterbourne for a match neither side could afford to lose in the scrap to avoid the relegation trap door! After winning the toss tarty inserted the home side on a less than impressive looking surface! With the first of the match taking off and striking the batsmen on the arm the tone was set for the rest of the innings, with all the batsmen unsure of what was next mangle embarked on a 12 over marathon of superb accurate bowling and ended up with 4-21. At the other end benny 1-21 also bowled well to restrict eastleigh to 42-6 off the first 24 overs with the turning point being a superb diving run out by our fearless leader (he pays me well).Mike kingston then blasted out the tail to end the innings on 98.
With the wicket still being unpredictable it was'nt a good start for bramshaw losing 2 wickets very early but the experience off jon wall 40 n/o and kev marshall 45 n/o saw bramshaw across the line to a maximum 24 points and with a tough trip to league leaders liss next up the win was very important!!
