Beresford jnr blasts bramshaw to victory!!

Tom Beresford hit a superb century to guide bramshaw to a comfortable win over Emsworth at roundhills.

After losing the toss and surprisingly being put in to bat on a warm day young tom and the not so young Mr Magoo made a steady start until Magoo fell to a sharp slip catch.Ritchie was next to join his boy and carry on the good start,After he departed Tom Arnold came to the crease and put in a display well beyond his years to crack 40, the rest all chipped in to carry the score to 275, Undoubtedly the star of the show was tommy b with a vast array of quality shots all round the wicket to finish up on 124 to prove that the legendary colts setup is working again!

The fielding display was of good quality aswell and not to be out done by the other youngsters Gary Blake opened the bowling up the hill and bowled a very tight 5 over spell with movement and at a good pace to put the visitors behind the rate from the start. Jammo opened from the other end and the veteran took the first 2 wickets before being replaced by beresford snr who also took 2 wickets. With gary coming back and taking 2 well deserved wickets and the game nearly won jammo reluctantly came back up the hill to remove the last batsmen and ensure a comfortable win.

An excellent win and a pleasure to watch the future of the club do so well. Congratulations once again to tommy b for a fantastic ton!!!
