Seconds back to winning ways!!

The seconds bounced back from 3 defeats in a row with a comfortable 5 wicket win against hayling island. After losing the toss bramshaw fielding first and got off to a reasonably good start with Laurence and mark bowling a good line on an absolute road! Wickets followed and although the opener managed to make 74 and a couple of other chipping the experienced left arm duop of Mark and Timmy took 3 wickets apiece to restrict them to a well under par 185. Credit also to the youngsters with Callum Holloway bowling well and taking a good catch and Matt Reeve taking a study break to take a couple of wickets too!

The batting started off well with Timmy and Jammo again providing a solid start putting over 50 on the board in quick time. Timmy was caught behind for 35 but 'oo rr' came in and carried on his good form amazingly hitting his first two balls for 4!!!Jammo was next to fall for 69 and a mini callapse followed with boothy, making his long awaited comeback, falling four a fourfth ball duck and Matt Reeve run out also for a duck. But Callum and Billy steadied things and reached the target in the 39th over!

A good all round performance and much improved from the previous three. Hopefully more of the same in the next couple and with the kids getting better us oldens can take it easy!!!
