BRAMSHAW STILL TEAM TO BEAT INDOORS
Once again the skipper lost the toss and were put into bat by the opposition Cadnam. Zane and Matt opened up and got off to a reasonable start but with confusion of running Zane was run out. Matt and Lawrence ticked the score over but Bramshaw were in trouble . But once Lawrence got out Johnny Murray stepped up and swatted a quick fire 25!!! With Joe and Tom trying to scrape some runs at the end Bramshaw posted a low score of 113. Joe and Lawrence started well bowling tightly and keeping the score down but with some big hitting Cadnam were ticking over. With Cadnam needing 10 runs off the last over, experienced Zane from Spain stepped up and bowled tremondously swinging the ball like a banana he took vital wickets and Cadnam were under pressure, with some excellent fielding and good keeping Cadnam could not get runs against the mighty Bramshaw. 4 wickets were taken in the last over which meant no runs scored so Bramshaw won the game by 6 runs in a brilliant game of cricket. Bramshaw are still undefeated with 2 games to go and the cup starting soon.

Joe Finishes the Game in Style!
Tom won the toss and elected to bat with a strong lineup playing against Wellow B. Zane from Spain and Matt Reeve opened up and got off to a usual start and scored quickly with Matt playing some lovely strokes and Zane running between the wickets! They both retired and in came Lawrence and Johnny who attacked with ease and picked off the bowlers with Johnny retiring straight away. The batting was quality however Joe getting a first buller didn't help but Bramshaw posted a huge score of 180 for 1. In the field Bramshaw were just as lively with Lawrence and Matt the pick of the bowlers picking up some good wickets and Johnny clearing it up. It wasn't going well for Joe today but the last wicket got the crowd off their feet - Joe who was moved into a perfect position at cover by the skipper took an amazing catch. Joe diving to his right took a one handed catch no messing about in Style. Wellow were bowled out and it was another brilliant performance by the Bramshaw Team lets keep up the winning streak .

COLTS INDOOR
UNDER 13S WIN FIRST INDOOR GAME

Bramshaw edged past Langley Manor for a close win on Friday, securing their first win in the indoor league. Tom lost the toss and Langley chose to bowl; Jonty and Tom opened. The first few overs were a bit slow and Tom got out after a dodgy catch off the wall (from behind the net!). However Jonty and Ben got some speedy runs and soon Bramshaw were back on track. Ben was run out and then Liam came in with some super shots. He blasted the ball to the boundary and ran with an incredible (worthless) dive into the crease! But Liam was soon run out .Then Harry came in and was also run out. There were just a few balls left of the innings and Bailey came in! Jonty played a cheeky shot round the corner (again) and Bailey made a good run to give Bramshaw a score of 74. The top score was 16* from Jonty. Langley came in to bat but Harry took an early wicket. Bramshaw restricted Langley’s runs with some superb fielding but they couldn’t get another wicket. Tom and Bailey bowled next, with some excellent floaters from Bailey and some top bowling from Tom. Finally it was Bens turn to bowl, and some brilliant balls from him turning into wickets, taking 2 wickets in his 2 overs. In the final over he kept his cool and even though Langley were closing in Ben still bowled superbly. Well done Ben!

CADNAM DEFEATED IN INDOOR DERBY
Tom lost the toss again and Bramshaw were put in the field. Lawrence and Joe opened up and got off to a reasonable start with Joe and Lawrence bowling fairly good lines. The pick of the bowlers was the older generation of Zane and Johnny, doing the damage and keeping the runs down aided by some superb all round fielding which restricted Cadnam to a low score of 88. Zane and Matt opened up but with unexpected slow yorker 2nd ball of the first over Matt was dismissed and Lawrence came in. In form Zane started hitting the runs easily and got a quick 17 with help from Lawrence. Zane got out stupidly then Johnny came in and finished the match off in style with some sixes at the end. Bramshaw reached the score with 4 overs to spare!! A very good win - lets keep it undefeated for the rest of the games.

WHAT YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WAITING FOR
BRAMSHAW STRIKE AGAIN!!
Bramshaw lossed the toss and were put into bat with Zane and Matt Reeve opening up. Once again Matt Reeve showed his text book shots with Zane hitting the back wall with ease and Bramshaw running smoothly. Eventually the partneship broke with Zane running himself out and Tim Rogers coming in. Matt Retired and Lawrence and Tim put on a big partneship with both attacking and hitting the back wall. They both retired quickly and Tom got out quickly with a quick fire score and Joe Coombs set the tone again then getting caught. With still 2 overs to go Matt and Tim went back in and ran like crazy posting Bramshaw to a big score of 157!! North Baddesly got off to a good start but not quick enough as Joe and Lawrence put the pressure on with Joe 3 overs for 17 runs. Tim was the strike man with Zane who picked up the wickets and some good running out. North Baddelsy were no where near the required target. It was a great perfomance by Bramshaw a team effort .

THE SHEEP STARTS INDOOR CAPTAINCY WITH A WIN

Zane D'monte Strikes as Bramshaw kicked off the indoor season at Romsey school led by the debut captain Tom Arnold. Loosing the toss Bramshaw were put into field and got off to a bad start with Joe and Lawrence spraying it all over the place costing us runs. But Zane who came from Spain to play a game hit back and bowled a maiden in his first over and bowling well all the way through his spell, also John Murray bowling tightly at the end. But, with 42 extras!!! Ampfield posted an average score of 109 for us to chase. Matt Reeve and Zane opened up and both scored quickly hitting the back wall easily and Matt playing some lovely strokes. But the collapse began with Matt getting out, Lawrence and Zane with a good 20 Bramshaw were 60 off 6 overs. But John Murray and Tom played nicely with Tom hitting 17 off one over and retiring, big time Joe didn't mess about and hit a 6 first ball and John who played positively saw us home and we got their score with 2 overs spare .Man of the Match - Zane

REEVE SILENCES PURBROOK

With the firsts down to their last wicket and needing 14 to win Matt Reeve and Joe Coombs saw Bramshaw home. Joe scored a crucial 1 to get Matt on strike who then smashed 2 sixes to win the last game of the season for the firsts against Purbrook and their rather vocal wicket keeper. The full report from the match can be found here. The seconds had a dramatic tie away at IBM Hursley and the thirds lost despite Stuart Stickland scoring his 2nd century in as many weeks. The thirds report can be found here.
STICKLAND GETS FIRST EVER TON IN 3RD TEAM WIN!
Petrol Boy Stuart Stickland went from zero to hero on a rain soaked day against Redlynch and Hale III at the picturesque Hale ground. Phil amazingley won the toss and decided to field, we opened with our first team superstar Mr Magoo and Phil and they got us off to a great start taking a wicket each for 34 and 26 runs in tidy spells, however during Phils 9 overs Petrol Boy dropped 2 slip catches and after the second drop Phil hoisted his trousers up Simon Cowell fashion and was heard muttering "Evergreen wont have enough keys on his bloody computer to write about you tommorow" (never mind Stu). Next to bowl was tennis star Taylor Vane and Charlie Plumbley, Taylors spell was an amazing 1 for 8 off 5 overs with 2 maidens and Charlies was 0 ror 16 off 3 overs, Angry and Evergreen took a wicket each, Kev Longman took 2 catches and a blow to the nose and at the end of 35 overs we had restricted Redlynch to 156. After a superb tea Ronaldo Vane and Petrol boy strode to the crease with determination etched all over their faces, the runs started to flow immediatley as Petrol Boy cut loose with numerous cuts and pulls, he gave a half chance on 34 but had soon raced to fifty with Ronaldo providing solid back up, the runs continued to flow from Stuarts bat and in the 26th over he pulled a short ball to the boundary giving him his first ever hundred. When Ronaldo was out for a gritty 40 Stuart and Andy had put on a record 3rd team 1st wicket partnership of 153. Evergreen hit the winning runs and we had reached the target with 7 overs to spare.

1STS & 3RDS BOTH LOSE AS 2NDS RAINED OFF

Phil Curl took 6 wickets for the thirds and Zane scored a classy fifty for the firsts (click here for the sheeps report) as both teams lost. Paul Bryant and Matt Alfords player pages have been updated.

3RDS WIN WITH LAST OVER HEROICS
Phil won the toss (at last) and put us in the field for this must win match. On a batting track, we struggled to keep the runs down and although we took 5 wickets Amport posted a healthy 229. The usually safe hands of Evergreen and Paul Bryant let us down but on the plus side Joe Cunningham bowled an excellent spell of swing for the second week in a row. The early loss of Petrol Boy Stickland followed by the Vic and Evergreen set us back but this only served to inspire Paul Bryant and our own Doogie Howser Andy Hodder MD to great things and with 72 and 68 they put us back on track, With 8 wickets down Skipper came to the crease and with a dogged innings levelled the scores only to lose his wicket with 2 balls to go. This was the moment that man mountain Papa Plumbley had been waiting for, he strode to to the crease and while the tallest and the shortest discussed tactics, we all held our breath, he took guard, the ball arrived, he stroked it into the covers, they ran like whippets and we were home.
JAMMO WINS BL AWARD
Jamie Terris has won an award from the Border League for hitting the highest score in the plate competition.
BOWLING THE MICHAELS (AGAIN)!!

An entertaining Club XI game against Fareham and Crofton had a certain feeling of deja vu with young Jacko snaring his favourite bunnies once again! Bramshaw won the toss and elected to bat and after a 50 run opening partnership between the Hampshire Rep Team Players Ooh Aah Chris Spryer and Lawrence, Bramshaw soon found themselves in trouble at 67-4.  Timmo and Tommo then bludgeoned a 5th wicket partnership of 166 in about 12 overs when Timmo retired in need of lager on 106. Further wickets fell, but Tommo 93* and T&E 36* saw Bramshaw to a score of 315-6 off their allotted 40 Overs. Fareham started their reply with a flurry of boundaries but wickets were falling on a regular basis to Go-Go and Sammy. Up stepped Jacko, ending with 4-44, including a super catch by Charlie and a lighting stumping by Evergreen, to dismiss the opener who had deservedly made his maiden century. The watching Reverend was heard to be asking for bowling tips as he felt his 3rd team stumper role could be under threat lol!!! Fareham ended their reply on 286 all out.Following an incident after the game, scientists have today warned spectators to be careful not to smell flowers after drinking Pedigree, as this could lead to bouts of vomiting!!

FAREWELL JO-EL!
The club XI were unfortunate not to record a victory, against touring side Wisborough Green in Kiwi Joel's last appearance for the club, before his move to Alan Partridge country. Wisborough Green batted first and scored an impressive 278 despite good bowling performances from Charlie P, Gosh and Jacko. Farmer George bowled an impressive first over maiden before being deposited on the fairway numerous times, ending up with figures of 4-1-45-2.Rumour has it that he struggled to find his length after seeing the half naked man under the trees!!  A special mention also to Yorkshire's Duncan with another impressive display behind the stumps including 2 sharp stumpings off Gosh.

In response Bramshaw started brightly and Joel showed what we will be missing with a hard hit 59. Junior scored a rapid 89 (including 26 off the Aussies first over!!) and a victory looked certain until he fell followed in quick succession by Jammo and Farmer George.

Chris Plumbley made his home debut and showed young Charlie how to do it, in scoring 11, but when he was out, 38 were still required off the last few overs with just Goshy and Jacko left. Wisborough thought they had the game sewn up when Jack was bowled off a dubious looking no-ball but the kids kept chipping away and it came down to a boundary being needed to win off of the last ball. Despite a super slog from Jacko the square leg fielder just managed to save the boundary leaving Bramshaw 3 runs short of victory. Goshy ended on 24 not out, including the biggest 6 of the day and Jacko 9 not out.

All in all a great game, enjoyed by all but most of all played in the right spirit.
BRAMSHAW MISS OUT ON BL TITLE BY JUST 2 POINTS
Bramshaw won their last game against OTs & Romsey last night which put them in with a chance of winning the league. However, both Calmore and Paultons just gained enough points in their last games to push us into 3rd place. A very enjoyable and succesful BL campaign.
COLTS 2010

Congratulations to every player from all the age groups. This year has been an excellent season in the sun for all three teams with a great deal of improvement shown. I would like to thank each of the colts managers and their assistants for all the time and hard work they have put into making this season such a success.

Under 11s: This is the first year that the U11s have played eleven-a-side cricket and the team exceeded all expectations in all aspects of the game.  Well done to all the players, Gary, Mark & Billy.

Under 13s: The U13s won nearly half their games which was a fantastic achievement considering how tight the numbers were most weeks. Again well done to all the players for some fantastic performances. I would also like to thank Arthur, Ethel & Andy 'Ronaldo' Vane for all their support.

Under 15s: The U15s also had a very good season considering that most weeks they were playing teams who were at least one year older than them. Next season looks very promising. Thanks once again to all the players, Mike, Matt & Andy.

Awards: The top bowler and batsman from each team will be invited to the club end of season presentation evening to collect their awards. Any other young players are also more than welcome to attend this event.

Indoor League: The indoor league will start in October at Hounsdown school for both the U11s & U13s. If you are interested in playing please contact me.

Thanks very much to everybody who helped out this year. If you would like to help out next year with coaching, umpiring, scoring or team organisation please either contact Myself or Andy. Ben Arnold.

The thirds were very unlucky to fall just 4 runs short in their chase of 210 in their match at Hampton Park. Linno and John Reeve put on a 3rd team record 92 for the first wicket. Evergreens report is here.

1STS WIN THE BRAMSHAW RUN FEST
Batting first the 1sts scored 335/6 in 45 overs. Tarty (117) and Tom (41) put on another 100 opening stand before Zane (72), Lawrence (39*) and Johnny (27) pushed the score past 300. In return New Milton looked down and out before some big hitting brought them back into the game. Mcgoo took 3 miserly wickets and Barnold also bowled well. Needing under 30 off the last 2 overs Zane got the big New Milton wicket (Caught on the boundary by Barnold) which sealed the game. Earlier on McGoo took a stunning one handed catch on the run. The 2nds also won with Timmo getting a ton. The thirds lost.
NERVY WIN FOR U13S
Wellow batted first and scored 88 with pace bowler Charlie and Swing bowler Marcus taking 2 wickets a piece. In reply Bramshaw creeped past the post with Sam Barcia hitting the winning runs. Richard Cooper was the star with the bat hitting 20 before being run out.
BRAMSHAW WIN BL THRILLER
Romsey needed just 12 to win off the last over to be bowled by Go Go Joe - getting 9 off the first 5 balls they needed 2 for a tie off the last - Joe bowls a perfect yorker they only get one and Bramshaw win. Sheeps report here. There were 3 BL debutants in this game who all contibuted a great deal they were up and coming batsman Matt Clasby, Big Dalton Malone and the returning Ed Moore. There was also a rare sighting on a tuesday night of Phil 'The magician' Curl with his assortment of tricky deliveries.
OOOOOOOH-AAAAAAAAH TAKES MIRACLE STUMPING
Spryer was seen on Sunday with some wicket keeper gloves on. After seeing numerous edges, byes and overthrows fly past him he actually not only managed to catch a ball but he also managed to knock the bails off before the batsman returned to the crease. One spectator noted that there was really no need for a slow-mo reply as Spryers glove work was rather glacial in speed.
U13s GIVE LANGLEY A CRICKET LESSON
After losing the toss and being asked to field Bramshaw managed to bowl out Langley Manor for 13 with Taylor taking 5 wickets for just 3 runs in his 3 overs which included a superb hat-trick. The other wickets were taken by Charlie, Tommy and Richard. Bramshaw then knocked off the runs in 9 balls for an emphatic victory. An astounding result for the U13s.
TERR-IS-ORISM
Jammo continued his rich vein of batting form by terrorising the Hambledon bowling attack scoring 133 out of 262/10. Mr Booth scored another half century (63) in support of Jammo. In reply Hambledon managed 244/10 with Jammo proving his all round capabilities with 4 wickets and 4 catches. The firsts lost to top of the table Cadnam. Both teams are now 10th in their respective tables. The thirds won their second game in succession - bowling out East Tytherley for 108. Andy Vane saw the thirds home with a swashbuckling 51*.
BBQ
There will be a BBQ at the ground on Saturday after the games as all teams are close by. Come to the ground for some fine Bob-cooked meat.
EVERGREEN IS BACK
Please click here for the return of the Evergreen.
202*
Jamie Terris stroked a superb 202* today for the second team at home to Locks Heath as the seconds racked up 375 in their 45 overs. Jamie has now scored 381 runs in his last three innings for the club being dismissed just the once. Jamie was supported by both Timmo (60) and Boothy (80). In reply both Mark (5-22) and Timmo (4-33) rolled back the years to bowl out Locks Heath for 188 for a maximum point win. The firsts and thirds both also won. MC Matt scored his first 50 for the first team and J-MAC took his maiden first team 5-for. Sheeps Pen report here.
BRAMSHAW BEATEN BY METRO
Timmy, Angry Dom and Tom Arnold played for metro to help them  to an easy win. MC Matt of Bramshaw won the Toss and batted first, with some quality strokes by Matt who retired on 50. However with some well took catches by the sheep, Joe and tarty were easily dismissed and their score was reduced to 141 . Metro started well with some quick running and boundaries, in reply bramshaw managed to take a lot of wickets with Tarty getting his bunny, angry Dom who "clearly hit it " and blob taking a few . But Metro were to good and eased past the score with some reverse hitting by Jammo!!!!
THE SHEEPS PEN
After the Monk retired from cricket writing at the end of 2009 the BCC.co.uk staff have been searching far and wide for a replacement scribe. In a leafy corner of Lyndhurst we found a novelty talking sheep who agreed to do some writing. His first match will be the Metrogas report. In time there will be a devoted section of the website to this talking sheep.
MACAROO DESTROYS T&E
Totton & Ealing batted first in the BL Plate 1/4 final struggling from the off with Matt Reeve and Dom opening the bowling taking 3 wickets between them before Go-Go Joe (1-16) and J-Mac (4-11) both bowled superbly to restrict T&E to 93. In reply Ginge and Lawrence took Bramshaw to the semis with a 9 wicket win.
1STS & 2NDS BOTH WIN
Tarty (119) and Tom (74) put on 203 for the first wicket before Zane (20), the returning Monty (25) and Matt Reeve (25*) took the score to 297/4 off 45 overs. Despite some fantastic cakes at tea the 1sts continued their excellent recent fielding form topped off by Ben 'The Panther' Arnold swooping for a run out to go with his 4 wickets. Joe, J-Mac, Lawrence & Matt also picked up wickets to give the 1sts a win by over 100 runs. The seconds won away at West Moors bowling the opposition out for 164. They reached their target with 10 overs to spare with Jammo (69) and Boothy (66*) seeing them home. Boothy also took 3 wickets in a roll back the years all-round performance. Two fantastic wins. The 3rds lost at home despite Dom scoring 60*.
TERRISTASTIC!
Jammo biffed his way to 110* in the Border league plate to put Bramshaw through to the 1/4 finals against Totton & Ealing. Tarty (82) and Jammo put on 130 in just 9 overs before Ginge (40*) helped Jammo take the score to a formidable 243/2. In reply Ampfield struggled against the spin twins of MC Matt and George Gray who both picked up 2 wickets.
1STS JUST LOSE OUT TO HUNGERFORD
Bramshaw lost the toss and were asked to bat at home yesterday. Zane topped scored with 57 supported by Tom and MC Matt before Johnny Murray, who took his form from the golf course in the morning onto the cricket pitch, driving 2 huge sixes to get the maximum batting points with 225. In reply Hungerford were pegged back early by Lawrence Reeve and debutant Joe Coombs (combined age 30!). Ben and Zane both bowled very well but unfortunately Hungerford crept over the line with 2 overs to spare.

JONTY & RICHARD SET UP U11 WIN
