The 3rd team beat Cadnam 3s at Minstead to secure their promotion by finishing 2nd in the league. Bramshaw batted first and the two Matts (Alford & Reeve) laid a good foundation with an opening partnership of 59. Ben Arnold (45), Paul Pryant (50*) & Captain Phil Curl all chipped in with crucial runs to post an intimidating total of 246/5. In return Cadnam looked good until the introduction of evergreen Tony Alford (pictured below) who destroyed the Cadnam top order taking 6 wickets in his 12 overs. Dave Cooper, Matt Reeve and Paul Bryant were the other wicket takers as Bramshaw dismissed Cadnam for 132. Phil Curl was elated at his sides promotion although managed to keep up his twenty year club record for not buying a drink! The Seconds continued their good form with a win over IBM Hursley and the firsts lost at Portsmouth & Southsea. |

2NDS WIN 1STS SAFE |
The second team won convincingly at home against IBM South Hants. Batting first Bramshaw scored 248 with Timmy Rogers scoring a typically exciting hundred. In return IBM were bowled out for 68 with Tim taking 4/32. This puts the seconds into the top half of the table. The firsts lost heavily at Portsmouth however Gary Blake bowled well on his debut. The firsts are now safe from regulation. The third team had a friendly in which Ian Whitcher scored his highest ever score for the club. On Sunday the Club Xl were lost at Hythe and Dibden with Whitcher senior again remaining undefeated. |
3RDS KEEP TITLE HOPES ALIVE |
The third team pulled out another impressive performance at Landford to defeat Eastleigh & Otterbourne. E&O batted first and struggled to 128/8 with Phil Curl rolling back the years to take 5/29 off his allotted overs. In reply Pete Earlington smashed 93 not out to bring Bramshaw home. The thirds have one more game left and are currently second in the table. The firsts lost another close game to Mudeford with a poor fielding performance costing them the game. Tom Arnold and Tom Beresford both made their first team debuts and both looked very comfortable. Tom Arnold kept up the very good wicket keeping standard he had set in the BL cup final. The seconds also lost at Hambledon. |

Bramshaw won the Border League Cup Final this evening with a convincing win against Trojans at Totton & Ealing. Bramshaw won the toss and elected to bat scoring 170 in their 18 overs. In reply Trojans fell short due to a very good fielding display by Bramshaw led by wicket keeper Tom "no-byes" Arnold. All 5 of the Bowlers bowled well but Michael Kingston was the pick with a very fast spell of 5 economical overs. Jamie Terris (Pictured Below) won the Man of the Match medal for Bramshaw with a very well crafted 64 that set up the Bramshaw win. For a copy of the Scorecard click here. SECONDS WIN AT PAULTONS |
Birthday boy Matt Reeve (15) on saturday stepped up to the seconds and had a great day taking 3 wickets & scoring 40 plus runs. Bramshaw were put into bat on a covered wicket and were 46 for 3 after 23 overs but stepped up to reach 179 all out after 44 overs. Quick runs from the tail helped with Ben hitting a six over the pavillion to the delight of his much younger team mates. Bramshaw fielded brillantly and Jamie Martin set the tone with a first bowl beauty that was caught behind by T Arnold. The fielding was super and we bowled them out for 140 ish. Well done to skipper Ian who scored a 30 over 40. Matt also took good catch and Tommy only let through 2 byes. report by evergreen Ben Arnold

Tom Beresford stroked his maiden hundred for the club on Saturday in a very good win for the seconds. A more detailed report can be found here. The firsts and thirds both lost. Mike Vimpany from the Echo wrote the following:
Bramshaw's Tom Beresford (pictured) became one of the Hampshire League youngest centurions when he rattled up a boundary laced 124 against County Division 4 South rivals Emsworth - at just 14 years of age! Tom, who is vice-captain of the New Forest Under-14 district side, hit two sixes - "The first I've ever hit in my life," he beamed - and 19 fours in his career-best knock which swept Bramshaw to 275-8. Partnering Tom in a 111-run second wicket stand was his father Richard, who made 31. Beresford junior then went on to add 77 with Tom Arnold, who spanked a quick-fire 40. Mid-table Bramshaw, who lie five places below Emsworth in the table, went on to bowl their opponents out for 181 and win by 94-runs.

Bramshaw visited Swan Green this evening in the Border League. Swan Green won the toss, chose to bat and scored 137/7 with Jimmy Manning taking 5 wickets and Gary Blake bowling four very tight overs on his BL debut. After Jamie Terris was Gingered for 0, Jimmy Manning (83*) and Andy Hart (47*) saw Bramshaw home with overs to spare. The turning point of the game was undoubtadly former Bramshaw player Mike West running his partner out whilst in the middle of a crucial partnership. |

After defeating Highfield last night at Bramshaw by 8 wickets the BL Xl have a chance of winning the league if results go their way. The latest table (available here) shows Bramshaw in 3rd place. Bramshaw must beat Swan Green on Thursday and OTs & Romsey on the last day of the season to stand a chance. |

Johnny Murray scored his maiden century for Bramshaw scoring 103 not out on Sunday against The Newport Gentlemen. Bramshaw managed 321 in their 40 overs and restricted the opposition to 286 to record a win. James Whitcher also scored his best score ever for the club. |
3rd TEAM IN COMPREHENSIVE WIN |
The 3rds beat North Baddesley 2 at Landford today. They bowled the opposition out for under 50 with Phil Curl taking 4 wickets. Bramshaw knocked off the runs with 8 wickets in hand with Matthew Reeve ending up on 24*. Theo Waldridge also made his adult debut for the club. The Firsts lost to Compton & Chandlers Ford. |
U13s LOSE FINAL GAME |
The Under 13s lost their last game of the season to Langley tonight. Langley batted first and scored an impressive 121/6 in 14 overs. Lawrence Reeve took 5 wickets in a great spell of bowling. In reply Bramshaw didnt get off to the best of starts losing two wickets in two balls! They were then bowled out for 41 with Jake Reed scoring his first runs for the club and both Charlie Plumley and Josh Whitmarsh batting well. Overall the U13s had a good first league season with all the players improving a great deal throughout the season. | The BL team beat Romsey & OTs 'A' in a close semi final at Bramshaw. Romsey scored 159 and Bramshaw achieved the target with an over to spare. FIRSTS BEAT TOP OF THE TABLE LISS! |
Bramshaw won the toss and fielded first. Once again the opening pair of Mark Angel & Ben Arnold bowled superbly before Mike Kingston, Jon Wall, Johnny Murray & Kev Marshall all bowled well, supported by an excellent fielding performance, to restrict Liss to 187-9. In reply Andy Hart scored 56 with Brian Hart, George Gray and Johnny Murray all chipping in with scores over 30. Wayne Eckton hit a superb 6 to win the game with 3 balls to spare. A very good team performance won the game for Bramshaw who's average age was 38.5!! |
ANGEL BOWLS LIKE A DEMON TO SET UP 1sts WIN |
Bramshaw won the toss on Saturday and decided to field. Mark Angel (12-5-21-4) and Ben Arnold (12-6-20-1) opened the bowling and both bowled beautifully in restricting Eastleigh & Otterbourne to 42 for 6 off the first 24 overs before Mike Kingston then swept up the tail taking 3 wickets. In reply both Jon Wall (40*) and Kev Marshall (45*) batted very well in difficult conditions to steer Bramshaw home with 21 overs to spare. The thirds had a very good win on Saturday and the seconds did not manage to finish their match. |

UNDER 13s LOSE TO PAULTONS |
The Under 13s lost the toss to Paultons and were asked to bat and they scored 61 with Josh Arnold retiring with 31. In reply Paultons reached the total with ease. Theo Waldridge kept very well including a very good catch. |

The under 11s Cup semi final is against New Milton at Bramshaw on Friday the 1th July. Your support would be very welcome as the Under 11s try to reach the final. |

This week a superb bowling & fielding effort by the 3rds restricted Cadnam (conquerors of the mighty Ram previously) to 149 - 8 with the evergreen Tony Alford picking up 3 wickets again (would have been 4 if his son hadn't dropped their top scorer). Callum Holloway, on his debut for the club, showed good promise bowling 8 great overs including the last 4 from one end when the pressure was on. He also picked up his first senior wicket. After a steady start Matt Alford was first out followed swiftly by the skipper proving he really is a number 11!!! Matt Reeves, on his return to the club, and John Reeves scored an unbroken century partnership with Matt finishing on 80 not out and John on 53 not out. A fantastic all round display. The firsts lost to Lymington 2 on Saturday despite a good allround performance from Johnny Murray and the seconds lost away to Hayling Island.

The Under 11s beat Redlynch & Hale this evening to book their place in the semi-finals of the Cup. Batting First Bramshaw scored 88 for 2 in their 18 overs with both Charlie Plumley and Josh Arnold retiring with scores of 26. Josh Arnold was also the pick of the bowlers taking 2-2 in his 4 overs. This was a very good all-round team performance. |
U13s LOSE TO CADNAM |
The U13s were bowled out for 34 against Cadnam. Andy Richards hit his first ever 4 in a good display of fielding and bowling by Cadnam. Although Theo Waldridge kept very well in Cadnams reply not letting any byes pass him they cruised past the total with ease. |
MANNING BLASTS BL Xl TO VICTORY |

COMFORTABLE WIN FOR U11s |
The U11s produced a very good performance against Totton & Ealing on Sunday. Totton & Ealing scored 237 with Ryan Brown taking his first wicket for the club. Bramshaw then scored 282 with Josh Arnold continuing his superb form hitting 3 sixes in his score of 33. A fantastic result for the U11s. |
1sts BEAT FAWLEY! |
Bramshaw lost the toss and were inserted against Fawley on saturday and scored 269 for 8. Andy Hart was the mainstay of the innings hitting 143, his highest score for the first team, which included 11 sixes. He was supported by Simon Booth (28) and Brian Hart who rolled back the years to score a well crafted 28*. Andy and Brian also put on 68 for the 6th wicket. Bramshaw then held onto their catches to restrict the opposition to 154 for 7 when the rain came. The wickets were shared by Simon Booth, Kev Marshall and Kev Gray who along with Mark Angel all bowled superbly. Another excellent win! |

The U13s defeated Alderholt this evening at Bramshaw with their best team performance of the season. Alderholt batted first and were reduced to 14 for 8 before Alderholts 9th Wicket pair brought their total up to 45. All the bowlers bowled well but Taylor Vane was the pick and was millimetres away from taking a hat trick. In return Bramshaw reached their total with 6 overs to spare with Lawrence Reeve (19*)hitting the winning runs with a big six. Well played all! |
