Bramshaw vs M&T 2010

For the second week in a row, Petrol Boy Stu Stickland crashed his way to another big score finishing on 149 making him the 3rd teams highest ever individual scorer, along with Super Vic John Reeve they put on a record partnership for any wicket with a fantastic 165. We finished on a credible 250 to give M & T a stiff target to chase. An early wicket by a very moody Angry Dom got us off to a good start but then first teamer Ievan Wathen entered the fray and took our bowling apart and by the time he was out to a swinging Taylor Vane delivery he had scored 143 in just under 24 overs taking the game away from us and leaving Evergreen shellshocked with figures of 1 for 72 in 10 overs. Despite taking 5 wickets the game was gone and M & T reached the target in 27 overs. Despite the loss we gained 9 points and finished above Amport, Tytherley and Andover thus avoiding relegation. Well done to all who have played, scored and made teas for the thirds and well done to Phil for a good seasons skippering and I look forward to another season next year of Evergreen corner. Tony.
