3rds vs Broughton

Good news from Landford, the 3rds are off the mark with a comprehensive win
over Broughton. Evergreen lost the toss for the third game in a row and
they chose to bat. At 95 for 3 Broughton had the upper hand but a flurry of
wickets saw them dismissed for 107 with 4 wickets for Arnie, 4 for evergreen
and 1 each for Will Moore and Son of Swisher. Nigel Warren took 2 brilliant
diving slip catches and Will and Vera both caught well. In reply we lost
rising star Matt Alford early on followed by the curry man and Linno. Paul
Bryant batted well but 2 crazy run outs saw the demise of Nigel and the
vicar, when Paul departed this left Ben and Evergreen at the crease and a 30
plus partnership saw us through to our first win.
