Ampfield won the toss and put us into bat on a damp Landford track, the early loss of Ronaldo and Evergreen (one of his more classier ducks) pegged us back but with fiftys from Angry and Petrol Boy we clawed our way back into the game and with usefull knocks by Charlie, James and Surfer Boy Vane we finished with a handy 200. In reply Ampfield lost wickets at regular intervals and with great catching from Charlie Plumbley and two stunners from tennis star Taylor Vane we had them 5 down after 20 overs. At this point the heavens opened and the calculators came out and alas Ampfield had scored just enough runs to win by the revised target method. Other teams around us scored less points and  so with two matches to go we should be safe. p.s Skipper asked me to remind Petrol Boy that if he had taken the easiest catch seen in Wiltshire since 1862 we would of had 10 points not 9. (sorry Stu).
