3rds vs Farley

At last I can report a great win for the 3rds over Farley at Landford. Our globe trotting skipper returned and duely lost the toss and we were put in the field in very hot conditions. Our new secret weapon "Mad Dom Bowler" opened the bowling with James Mason but despite some cracking deliveries Farley reached 60 off 9 overs, the introduction of Evergreen and Phil stemmed the runs and also brought a couple of wickets, Evergreen finished with 1 for 27 and Phil 1 for quite a lot. The ball was then thrown to Young Sam Brider who took 2 wickets in a develish 3 over spell bamboozeling the opposition and the finishers were Mad Dom and James Vane (son of Ronaldo) who took 2 wickets each in a great finishing spell restricting Farley to 176 for 8. Super Vic and Ronaldo Vane put on 60 to get us up and running until an lbw ended Ronnies innings for 30, Super Vic was next to go for a dogged 40, Evergreen 24, son of Ronaldo 22 and a brutal 23 from Mad Dom saw us home with a couple of overs to spare.
