3rds vs Farley

On a drizzly day at Farley we lost the toss and were put into bat on a damp muddy track, Timmo and Limpet Linno once again gave us a solid base with an opening stand of 55, Linno was out for a stubborn 14 and Timmo for 48, the ever improving Paul Bryant made a classy 41, Andy Vane 4, James Vane 14 and Evergreen 28 helped us to a good total of 181 in our 42 overs.Phil and Evergreen bowled the first 20 overs keeping there run total nice and low, Phil finished with 1 for 28 and Evergreen 2 for 15 but the first wicket was a sharp bit of fielding by Joshy Arnold who swooped from square leg and got the ball to Kev Longman and ran out the batsman. Timmo took 4 for 27 in 8 overs in a great spell and a wicket each from Andy Vane and Will Moore saw us wrap up the game bowling Farley out for 119 giving us our third win in four games.Comedy highlights of the day included Evergreen calling for a catch off his own bowling when the ball was landing on top of the wicket keeper and Andy Vanes impression of Christiano Ronaldo when he took a ball on his chest then to his shoulder then to his thigh and finaly he half volleyed it over the boundary.
